  • Terry Z. Long

    Terry Z. Long

    Chief Executive Officer

    Terry earned an MBA with a concentration in corporate finance and began his career in healthcare as CFO and hospital administrator at a nonprofit hospital. He later served as senior vice president and COO of a nonprofit organization supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since joining The Arc Southern Chesapeake in 2014, he’s led significant growth.

    Renee earned dual B.A. degrees in business and communications and an MBA in MIS from the University of Pittsburgh. She has over 25 years of experience in marketing, communications, and fundraising. Since joining The Arc in 2017, Renee has launched innovative campaigns, secured high-impact grants, and built collaborative partnerships across affiliate chapters.

    Director of Business Operations

    Hartmuth holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Applied Economics. He has more than 20 years of experience across finance, IT, and facilities management. At The Arc, he strengthens operations to support high-quality services and continued organizational growth. Hartmuth began his career in nonprofit accounting, building expertise in financial analysis, GAAP reporting, grant compliance, and housing finance.

    Director of Quality Assurance

    Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University and has more than 30 years of experience serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She leads a team that manages hundreds of active behavior plans. Before joining The Arc, she was a resource coordinator for the Calvert County Health Department and an adult protective services case worker for the Calvert County Department of Social Services.

    Norma has deep experience with The Arc Southern Chesapeake. She leads a range of community-based services and works closely with her team to help individuals achieve their goals through employment, volunteering, and community engagement. Before joining The Arc, she managed a production floor where she hired and evaluated employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She’s a two-time Arc Maryland Outstanding Employee of the Year.

    Beth Wolfe RN/CM/DN

    Director of Nursing

    Beth has more than 30 years of nursing experience, including over 15 years in developmental disabilities. She oversees the health and wellness of 100+ individuals across multiple residential sites, ensuring safe, person-centered care. Her leadership has driven improvements in audit outcomes, reduced hospitalizations, and streamlined nursing documentation and communication systems.

    Director of Human Resources

    Angel brings extensive experience in human resources leadership and workforce administration within the nonprofit sector. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Master of Arts in Human Resources Development from Bowie State University. Angel provides executive oversight with a strong emphasis on risk management, operational effectiveness, and mission alignment. She serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, supporting sound governance practices and ensuring HR policies and systems align with board oversight and regulatory requirements.

    Casey Roberts

    Casey holds degrees in Rehabilitation Counseling and Human Services Management from McDaniel College. He’s certified in peer mediation, conflict resolution, and leadership development. With extensive experience in human services, Casey oversees programs across multiple counties, focusing on service delivery, team development, and strategic partnerships to expand access and advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
