Eligibility for services depends on the individual’s needs, age, and the specific program or support being requested. Our team can help guide you through the process, explain available services, and discuss any eligibility or funding requirements. We offer Transitioning Youth and Autism Waiver Services for children. All of our services are available for adults.
DDA eligibility and funding are usually required. If you have a question about a specific service please contact at: admissionsinfo@arcsoch.org
While the full admissions process time line will vary by client; you should expect to hear from us within 3 business days of making application.
Many services provided by The Arc Southern Chesapeake take place in the community, not only at The Arc locations. Depending on an individual’s needs and service plan, supports may be provided in homes, workplaces, community settings, or at The Arc program sites. Our goal is to provide person-centered services that promote inclusion, independence, and meaningful community participation.
Yes. The Arc Southern Chesapeake supports individuals in exploring employment opportunities and developing skills for meaningful work. Services may include career planning, job development, job placement assistance, workplace readiness, and ongoing support to help individuals succeed and grow in their employment goals.
Yes. The Arc Southern Chesapeake provides comprehensive training and ongoing professional development for staff to ensure high-quality, person-centered support and services. Training may include topics such as safety, communication, disability support best practices, regulatory requirements, and skills specific to each staff role.
Yes. The Arc Southern Chesapeake is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Donors will receive an acknowledgment of their contribution for tax purposes. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your gift.
Yes, we do, but an application must be on file first. This ensures that we are connecting you with the correct team members for your visit and considering the safety of the staff and individuals we support.
